White Cruz del Sur tour bus moving onto the open bows of a yellow ferry loading vehicles at the concrete ramp at Pargua, Chile

Vehicle ferries, every 30-35 minutes, provide access to Chiloe across the Canal de Chacao and across the Gulf of Corcovado, to Quellon, on the east side of the island. The journey from Pargua, on the mainland, to Chacao, on the northern tip of the island, takes some 40 minutes, and provides some dramatic views of the Andes Mountains to the east. This Cruz del Sur vehicle ferry is loading vehicles at the Pargua terminal.
