Kingston Bridge and Riverside
It's midnight on Kingston Bridge in South West London. The fog is unusually dense. The modern bridge replaces a much older one which was the main river crossing point for Hampton Court Palace and its grounds which are now the Royal Parks. There are Kingston University halls of residence nearby which accommodate some of the student population. A young couple return after a fun night clubbing and using the numerous pubs in the viscinity. Kingston Upon Thames was heavily bombed during the war due to the airplane manufacturers situated there. As a result, much of the town centre's architecture is modern but the ancient market place is very picturesque and has a thriving café culture. Property prices in the area are very high due to the excellent schools and amenities in the borough. It is said to be one of the best places to live and work in the South of England.
