A local ferry in Sitwee, the ferrymen row them to and from larger boats. Sittwe (pronounced site-tway) is the capital of Rakhine State, Myanmar (Burma). It is located on an island at the confluence of the Kaladan, Mayu and Lay Mro rivers that empty into the Bay of Benga. Sittwe has a population of around 180,000 and is the administrative centre of Sittwe District.
