SOUTH CHINA SEA (May 11, 2017) Sailors aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) prepare to launch a rigid-hull inflatable boat to conduct a personnel transfer with Royal Thai Navy ship HTMS Naresuan (FFG 421) and Republic of Singapore ship RSS Intrepid (FFS 69) in support of the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) multilateral exercise. CARAT is a series of annual maritime exercises aimed at strengthening partnerships and increasing interoperability through bilateral and multilateral engagements ashore and at sea.
