This drawing was found in the tomb of Khnumhotep, which is Tomb 3 at Beni Hasan, an ancient Egyptian cemetery in Middle Egypt.


This Egyptian tomb wall painting has been titled Shoulder Movement. It shows two men riding on a donkey and four men in front, one with a spear, was found in the Tomb of Khnemu-Hetep (also spelled Khnumhotep) , which is Tomb 3 at Beni Hasan, an ancient Egyptian cemetery in Middle Egypt. Khnemu-Hetep was the governor of the Eastern Mountains. The tomb dates to the 12th Dynasty. The drawing is after Champollion, the Frenchman who deciphered hieroglyphs. It appeared in the History of Egypt by the French Egyptologist Gaston Maspero, which was published in 1921.
