This ex-terior is cut into so many smallparts, that there is scarcely anysituation from which a pleasingview of it can be obtained; andthe principal charm which it pos-sesses in point of effect is bor-rowed from its contrast with theAbbey: the whole exterior, in short, is a multiplicity of angularprojections, which throw no shadow, and, consequently, produceno relief.
