The introduction of this grand novelty gives to the florist, as well as the amateur, an improvement which will not only add to the popularit}-, but place the Cosmos among the leading annuals. Seed of the new Early Flowering Cosmos, sown in open ground in May, produce flowering plants the first of August, fully a month in advance of the ordinary Hybrid Cosmos. This variety develops a profusion of delicate rose, purple aud white flowers until late in the autumn, long after other garden flowers have faded. The flowers of this new Cosmos are a trifle smaller than the old variety, but its earliness and extremely profuse flower- ing habit will more than compensate for the size. No other plant is more attractive through the customary summer droughts than the Cosmos, which continues fresh and green, growing more beautiful each day as the season advances. Whatever you neglect the coming season, you should surely plant the Early Flowering Cosmos. Per package, 15 cents. Petunia. SELECTED SINGLE FRINGED MIXED. Few, if any, annuals are more popular and deserving of cultiva- tion than the Petunia, and above all the fringed varieties, which produce a profusion of tme large flowers in L^reat variety and of Mid colorings, which, <'gether with their leeply cut edges, pro- duce a gorgeous show, when grown in a mass or for a border. We have taken great pains in selecting a strain of Fringed Petunia,which, we are confident, will prove a pride in any- garden, and more than please those who grow this most excellent strain of large-flower- ing Fringed Petunia.
