Experimental Aircraft, the Cozy Mark IV, a derivative of the Long EZ designed by Burt Rutan.
An experimental home built custom aircraft Cozy Mark IV Cozy MKIV waits at the Camaraillo Airport in California with the cockpit hatch and canopy open showing 4 seats and a plush leather interior. The Cozy Mark IV is a 200 MPH long-distance cruiser that can seat four people that is constructed by aircraft enthusiasts from a set of detailed plans only. There is no kit for this type of airplane. The design was originally marketed by Nat Puffer and later sold to Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Corporation. The design is a derivative of the historic Long EZ, designed by Burt Rutan of Scaled Composites. This image shows the front of the airplane. The airplane parks nose-down due to the weight and balance created by the engine in the rear of the plane. This class of airplane are often called Canard Pushers due to the engine in the rear pushing the airplane and the front wing called the Canard holding the nose up.
