3D printed bone implants. 3D printed model of a human pelvis (left), leg bones (right) and skull (far right) at OsseoMatrix, France. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, creates objects by the successive addition of layers of material. OsseoMatrix produces 3D printed bone implants to replace damaged sections of patients' bones. The implants are constructed from bioceramic powder and custom made to fit each customer.
