The Club Med 2 cruise ship docked at Nice on the Côte d'azur, France. Launched in 1992 the Club Med 2 is a five masted computed controlled sailing ship and at 637 feet in length is one of the largest sailing cruise ships currently in service. Carrying nearly 400 passengers and a crew of over 200 the ship operates mainly in the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Caribbean. Nice Harbour in the Côte d'azur, France also known as the Port of Nice and Port Lympia, (so named after one of Nice's rivers) was opened in 1751 and achieved its current layout in the 1880's. The harbour is home to many pleasure craft and a stopping point for a variety of ferries and cruise ships.
