Wanga, Cucumis melo subsp. melo, family Cucurbitaceae, vine with tendrils, nearly rounded leaves and small yellow flowers with pale centre, fruits rounded, oval to oblong, looking similar to Italian cucumber but lacking soft hairs, turning pale green with much lighter to nearly white longitudinal furrows each with a dark green central line. Eaten raw, cooked or pickled.
