Terracotta amphora (jar), Archaic, ca. 540–530 , Etruscan, Terracotta; black-figure, H. 13 3/4 in. (35 cm), Vases, Two heraldic roosters flanking an ivy leaf. Vases of this shape, derived from Attic prototypes, were popular products of southern Etruscan workshops probably located at Vulci. As here, they are frequently decorated with a window-like panel that displays the same subject on both sides
