These huge Te Paki Sand Dunes at Te Paki Stream are really popular - easy dunes and extreme slopes for every level of sand surfing. The Te Paki Sand Dunes rise to some 140 metres above sea level and the golden sands are wonderfully sculptured by the west coast winds. There are several Northland tours that take you here, but you can do it all yourself and *hire aboard from the locals.
