Palm tree beach sunset Playa de Artola, Cabopino, near Marbella Costa del Sol Spain

This small beach with its westerly facing stand of palm trees is part of a conservation area, with dunes and an old pirate tower; beyond the palms there's also a nudist beach. This image was taken in 2004, when the palm grove was in very good condition. We revisited in 2012 to take updated images, but the general state of the beach and trees including a pole or mast erected within the group didn't produce anything as good as the earlier shots. They still represent what Artola beach is like to the eye. The sun sets through the palms in mid-November and late February.
