Bangkok has a few interesting museums. The most famous museum is the National Museum in the old City. Here you find everything about the history of Thailand and Bangkok. The history of the National Museum Bangkok dates back to 1874 when His Majesty, King Rama V opened the first public "museum" to exhibit the royal collection of King Rama IV, and other objects of general interest, at the Concordia Pavilion inside the Grand Palace. The collections of the National Museum are national cultural heritage. The three main galleries are : The gallery of Thai History, the history and art collection and the galleries in the old palace building.
