A canon on the 18th century sailing vessel Hawaiian Chieftain while visiting the very modern Jack London Square in Oakland The canons are used in the popular Battle Sails between the Hawaiian Chieftain and the Lady Washington The Lady Washington is a replica of the 1788 Lady Washington and is the Official Ship of the State of Washington The Hawaiian Chieftain is its sailing partner Crew that live and work aboard the ship give educational tours for schools at designated seaports and the ships have additional educational programs spanning multiple days on board the ship where families and students learn to sail an 18th century ship and learn what it was like to be a late 18th century merchant sailor
