St Martin In The Fields; by James Gibbs 1720-26. 'Royal box' in the chancel.

St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London. Church designed by James Gibbs 1720, completed 1726 in the English Baroque style. At the east end Gibbs provides curved theatre-like boxes on the north and south, at an angle between the ends of the galleries and the shallow chancel. These boxes, with their balustrades and sash windows beneath gilded cornices, have two faces: an inward-curving section faces diagonally out on to the nave, while a flat section looks down on the shallow chancel.
