This is the opening page of issue number 14, dated 2 July 1666. The opening lines list the contents of the issue, followed by the start of the first entry. The first entry is titled: 'An account of a new kind of baroscope, which may be called statical; and of some advantages and conveniences it hath above the mercurial: Communicated, some while since, by the Honourable Robert Boyle.' Baroscopes were another name for barometers, used to measure atmospheric pressure.
