Dudley Street, Wolverhampton, Early 20th cent. To the left stands part of the 17th century building housing the confectioners Astbury & Clayton. Next to them are the premises of Bates Brothers boots and shoes. The Bodega tavern, formerly the Fleece Inn, is further along on the same side (with the shield sign). It appears that beer barrels are being delivered there. Dudley Street represents an ancient link between Wolverhampton and the neighbouring borough of Dudley. Streets, Photographs
