William Harvey (1578-1657), an English physician renowned for his contributions in anatomy and physiology, particularly with regard to the circulation of the blood, published in "Exercitatio Anatomica de Motu Cordis et Sanguinis in Animalibus" (otherwise known as "On the Motion of the Heart and Blood") in 1627.
