Looking NE at the nave of St Peter's 7th-century chapel, Bradwell-on-Sea, built of reused Roman materials on the gateway of Othona Roman fort.

Looking NE at the nave of St Peter's 7th-century chapel, built of reused Roman materials on the gateway of Othona Roman fort. It formed part of St Cedd's Anglo-Saxon monastery, served as a beacon-house in Tudor times, later as a barn and is now used as a chapel again by the Othona Community. Bonding marks of the destroyed west porch are visible around the doorway and four of seven original buttresses can be seen.
