CORONADO, Calif. (Sept. 20, 2017) Vice Chief of Naval Operations (VCNO) Adm. Bill Moran speaks during an awards ceremony at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Three (EODMU 3) on Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado. During the ceremony, Moran presented the Silver Star to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 1st Class Jeffrey Thomas for his actions during a 10-hour firefight with forces of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
