A farmer who has lost both legs to a mine blast tends his fields in the village of Aq Robat, Afghanistan


The village of Aq Robat lies about 40 minutes drive to the west of the city of Bamyan in Afghanistan It is a remote village in which the families live a subsistence life and make the occasional journey into Bamyan to sell any excess crops if the harvest allows Conditions remain harsh with one of very few concrete buildings being the school which was recently completed with the support of an international NGO
