The anterior articular surface is concave with a poorly developed mamilla at the centre ; the outline of the centrum is circular with a well-marked peripheral groove. The posterior articular surface is also concave and somewhat circular in outline, with its margin bevelled along the ventral edge and also between the base of the neural arch and the top of the rib facets.
