Alan Bean on the Moon, Apollo 12

Astronaut Alan L. Bean, lunar module pilot, adjusting the PSE thermal skirt, part of the deployment of the Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package (ALSEP) during the first Apollo 12 extravehicular activity (EVA) on November 19, 1969. Bean deployed the ALSEP components 300 feet from the Lunar Module (LM). The blue glow around the subject is possibly due to a dust smudge on the 70mm Hasselblad lens of the lunar surface camera, or lens flare.
