MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Jan. 15, 2018) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Chandler Varelamushrush acts as nozzle man during a crash and salvage drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) in the Mediterranean Sea. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, is on its fourth patrol in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners, and national security interests in Europe.
