The British Reoccupation of Malaya Suspects under guard during an operation by the 53rd Indian Brigade (25th Indian Division) to round up bandits who had abducted a number of civilians from the town of Kuala Kangsar. The subsequent murder of a number of the abductees led to a serious crackdown on the bandits by the British authorities.
