A street wall plate at the entrance to the tiny Cordoba medieval Synagogue is a historic edifice in the old Jewish Quarter of Cordoba in Spain in Andalusia, southern Spain. It was built in 1315 when Jews, Christians and Muslims lived in harmony, and was in constant use until the Jews were forced out of the city and Spain in the 14th century. The synagogue's small size points to it having possibly been the private synagogue of a wealthy man. It is also possible that Cordoba's complex of buildings was a yeshivah, kollel, or study hall. After many ownerships, it finally became a national monument in the late 19th century.
