Entrance to Eldon Square Shopping Mall in Newcastle upon Tyne

One of the entrances to Eldon Square Shopping Mall in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. This entrance is situated beside the Earl Grey Monument at the top of Grainger Street and Grey Street. The mall was opened in 1977 and is named after the original Eldon Square (now known as Old Eldon Square) which the shopping centre was built around. For a time Eldon Square was the biggest indoor shopping mall in the UK.
