Hugo Munsterberg (1863-1916), German-US psychologist. Munsterberg was born in Germany, but later moved to the USA and worked at Harvard University. He worked on experimental psychology, and was a pioneer of industrial psychology. He also wrote about films, and his views on the reliability of witness testimony. His major works include: Psychology and Life (1899), Science and Idealism (1906), Psychology and Crime (1908), On The Witness Stand (1908), and The Photoplay (1916).
