Narrative of a second voyage in search of a north-west passage, and of a residence in the Arctic regions during the years 1829, 1830, 1831, 1832, 1833 . ng them across his shoulders; but he did not escape thevigilance of our look-out men, who caught him in the act, whichwas fatal to his obtaining any thing he wanted, and had he not beenIkmalliks brother, he would have been sent off in disgrace. Hehad a wife and two children, the eldest of which was one,of theperformers in the stratagem. The detection, however, causeda hearty laugh. Although his forehead was low, his features werelarger than most of them, and he appeared to be about forty-fiveyears of age. He was five feet sixinches high, about fifty years of age, and rather brought us some skins, for which he was liberally paid, andwas delighted when he saw his portrait, which I made of costume was a dark deer-skin jacket and bear-skin fc.
