As the transfer table is light and runs easily, Air is used extensively in shop work, and in the view of thetransfer table can be seen one of the air plugs with hose at-tached. The air compressor outfit (Fig. 1) is located in thefront part of the shop, and consists of a 7-hp Christensenmotor-driven compressor, supplying a 100-in. tank suspendedfrom the roof. The compressor motor is controlled by theusual automatic starting switch. It is the intention to build atesting table adjoining the compressor outfit for testing gages,valves and whistles.
