A short conical infundibular process is present, fitting in between thetwo halves of the bifid caudal extremity of the distal lobe. Its walls, likethose of the brain generally, consist simply of undifferentiated cells, uni-formly distributed through its thickness. (—Thc infundibular process The Development of the Hypophysis Cerebri, etc., in Marsupialia 201 is not shown in the longitudinal section figured, owing to the obliquity ofthe sectional plane.)
