SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 25, 2023) – The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Murasame-class destroyer JS Kirisame (DD 104), left, steams in the South China Sea with the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) while conducting operations with Chung-Hoon and the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69), March 25. Milius is forward-deployed to the 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
