Royal Convent of Santa Clara. It is the oldest conventual foundation in Úbeda, being carried out on an undetermined date in the 13th century. It is the first nunnery in Úbeda after the Reconquest and still inhabited by Poor Clare cloistered nuns. Queen Isabella the Catholic stayed there in 1489 when she was on her way to the site of Baza (Granada). It is part of the Renaissance monumental complex of the city, which together with that of Baeza, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. Úbeda, Jaén province. Andalusia. Spain.
