The park appeared in 1946 on a place of the former village of Mazurino. Till 1976 was called as Mazurino's park, then it was renamed into park of a name of the Soviet the 1950th here the summer camp of the 103rd Division of Soviet Army which possesses the main merit in creation of park avenues took place.
