In 2006, the Military Bandmaster department of the Moscow State Conservatory of Tchaikovsky was transformed in the Military Institute of Military Bandmasters (Military University). Over the 70 years of its history, the Military Institute has trained about 4,000 military bandmasters for the Armed Forces of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kirgizia, Mongolia, Cabo Verde, etc. Performances of the cadet band of the Military Institute are based on the repertory from the works of the Russian and foreign composers, on original scenarios and a special combination of maneuvers and choreography. The Band has successfully performed in Russia and at the international music festivals in Scotland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, China, United Arab Emirates, Slovenia, to name some of the countries. Colonel is the Head of the Military Institute of Military Bandmasters (Military University)
