Chocolates and sweets made in Brooklyn are featured in the "By Brooklyn" store in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce announced a certification program to guarantee consumers that the products that they purchase as made in Brooklyn are indeed "Brooklyn Made" and not just someone using the borough's name. The there level certification hinges on a number of factors including where the workers live (employment), the sourcing of the raw materials, and other factors, which enable them to use the logo on their label. "By Brooklyn" is the only store in the world that sells products made by craftspeople, entrepreneurs and manufacturers in the borough of Brooklyn. (© Richard B. Levine)
