Baby will learn soon. British Columbia, Canada: THESE ADORABLE images show a mother bear teaching her cub the ancient art of the tree bark back-scratch. One image shows mother and baby rubbing up against the tree together, both with their paws wrapped around the trunk whilst they scratch their heads. Grizzly bears, also known as North American brown bears, can grow to be over seven foot in length and weigh around 790 pounds at their heaviest. The mother bear cares for the cub for up to two years before the cub leaves to start a life of its own. These pictures were captured by photographer Marion Vollborn in British Columbia, Canada, using a Canon EOS-1D X camera. ?A mother bear came into camp with her cub and rubbed herself against the tree. The cub watched its mother and then rubbed itself as well,? said Marion. ?Getting so close to a bear makes your heart beat faster and you hold your breath for a moment. ?We had been waiting a long time for this mother bear to show us her cub, and to see her present it in such a wonderful way was more than wonderful. ?The grizzlies come to the river to fish for salmon. ?They are very peaceful creatures that can also be very funny. The bear decides how close it wants to get to humans, not the other way mediadrumimages/MarionVollborn
