The meninas created by different artists and personalities from public life will once again take to the streets of Madrid from next October 15 until December 15. The Meninas Madrid Gallery 2020 initiative, promoted by the artist Antonio Azzato, will this year have the collaboration of names such as Marta Sánchez, Asier Etxeandía, Agatha Ruíz de la Prada, Oteyza or Modesto Lomba, among others. Each of them has put their creativity into one of the 50 180 cm high fiberglass figures that can be seen on the streets of the capital. The objective of this third edition is, in the words of Azzato, “to continue with Velázquez's infinite message, this year more than ever, as well as to fill the streets of the capital with color and positivity, providing a message of hope to all those who come closer to the meninas ”. As in previous editions, the show will have a solidarity purpose. Upon completion, most of the meninas will be auctioned. The funds obtained will be used for different charitable causes.
