"Low traffic neighbourhoods" were introduced in Oxford during 2021 to a controversial reaction from those opposed to and those in favour of them. Communities have been divided by the schemes, which restrict traffic down side streets and force it go go towards a small number of more main roads through the city or out to the ring road.
