Heheld this position until September, 1912,when he resigned to accept the positionof superintendent, claim agent androadmaster of the Albany SouthernRailway with headquarters at Rens-selaer, N. Y. Mr. Brown remained with the AlbanySouthern Railway until Jan. 1, 1913,when he was induced to accept a posi-tion as assistant superintendent oftransportation of the InternationalRailway, Buffalo, N. Y., on account ofthe broader field of opportunities whichthe position with that company openedto him. On Jan. 1 of the same year hewas promoted to the position of super-intendent of the Buffalo division and inNovember, 1915, was made generalsuperintendent of the company. TheInternational Railway operates all ofthe street railway lines in the citiesof Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Lockport,including many interconnecting inter-urban lines. In 1917 Mr. Brown wastransferred from this position to thatof manager of the electric railwayproperties of the New Orleans Railway&a
