A flintlock pistol, Diomede Adeventi, Brescia, 2nd half of the 17th century. Fluted smooth bore barrel, round after a baluster, in mm calibre. Signed, "Lazarino Cominazzo" on the breech. Flintlock has chiselled decoration and is signed "Diomede Adeventi". Walnut stock. Iron furniture is richly chiselled with leafy vines, volutes, masks, and fabulous creatures. Replacement ramrod with iron tip. Length 49 cm.
