Lana’i - Garden of the Gods
In the middle of the Hawaiian Island of Lana’i is a remote geographic area known as Keahikawelo, also known as the Garden of the Gods. It features large rocks, small rocks, and everything in between. They also offer a visual treat of many shapes and colors. Between the rocks, you will see grass, shrubs, and areas of red dirt. Visiting requires a four-wheel drive vehicle. There are various Hawaiian legends to explain this area — rocks dropped from the sky by the gods tending their gardens, rocks that contain the spirits of warriors, and art created by the gods.
