The NW arc of Dun Beag Iron Age broch, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK, showing the circular courtyard (L) surounded by a double drystone wall containing a gallery: looking SW to Oronsay & Wiay islands in Loch Bracadale. The broch's inner court is just under 11m across, the double wall up to thick. The upper levels of the tower have collapsed, but the walls survive up to high in places. The broch is one of the best preserved on Skye, it was excavated in the early 1900s by Countess Vincent Baillet de Latour FSA (Scot). The broch stands on a rocky knoll above land sloping down to the shore.
