".Spring-sown plants bloom in July and August. They take up very little room, for they may be planted six to eight inches apart the first season. The following spring the choicer ones may be planted in permanent quarters in groups of three or more, or in larger groups in the shrubbery border or to the rear of hirdy perennials, two or three feet apart. In two or three years they should be taken out, the bed heavily manured, the plants reset and more room given each ; They can also be sown in the open ground in spring, but would not likely flower until the second year. We also offer on pages 51 to 60 a number of the very choicest of the newer hybrids: per pkt. 2238 Qold Medal Hybrids.
