An historic sketch of the George Inn, (landlord Mr Ferguson) Greta Bridge, UK. Used by horses as a coach stop in the coaching era. The Inn was made famous by Charles Dickens as the house where Mr. Wackford Squeers, Nicholas Nickleby, and the boys were set down after their journey from London to Dotheboys Hall. Another Inn, the New Inn, stood half a mile away.
