230202-N-NX635-1018 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 2, 2023) Navy Aviation Electrician's Mate Airman Raul Martinez, from Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, removes a component of an F/A-18 generator converter unit in the avionics shop aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is in 7th Fleet conducting routine operations. 7th Fleet is the Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
