MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 25, 2016) Sailors assigned to USS Carney (DDG 64) conduct a pre-sail conference with members of the Romanian Navy and Air Force aboard the Romanian Navy frigate Regele Ferdinand (F221) while in port at Constanta, Romania. Carney, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is conducting a routine patrol in the 6th fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
