NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (June 18, 2018) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Meghan Wise, from Richlands, North Carolina, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77), sweeps the floor of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2 main building. As a birthday tribute to the ship's namesake, and representing his famous "Thousand Points of Light" speech, approximately 1,000 GHWB crew members took part in one of the largest single-day community relation (COMREL) events at 44 different locations throughout the Hampton Roads area. George Bush turned 94 on June 12.
